I'm still getting the same ol song and dance. I've pulled my steering surround and looking at all the wiring, but I'm not finding what everyone else is describing. Were the 08's different than previous year 3G's, other than the motor? This is what I'm seeing for an ignition switch http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...255_0343163091

In any case, I can't find any evidence of burnt, overheated, discolored, or melted wiring on the steering column.

After posting the above, I walk out the the truck and start wiggling wires again. I'm sitting in the passenger seat, and tap the blower motor with the toe of my boot a couple times and TADAH blower comes back on. Now I'm thoroughly confused. So far I have restored function by tapping the motor, messing with the power plug, touching the wires on a module above the key cylinder, and several times it's just started working again just because. I'm not sure where to go next.

well then it might be the coils on the motor that are broken which isn't allowing enough electricity to flow to create the magnetic force needed to spin the motor.

That's usually what happens when a motor starts to go bad....

why not just replace the motor with a new one?

I think thats my best bet right now. Ive seen here people say a new motor can be had for about $50, but dealership is quoting $150 for a new one. Where are the $50 ones coming from?

I replaced the blower motor and relay on my 2008 in a few minutes. Don't remember the cost but it was fairly cheap at O'Reilly's here in Dallas. Remember to clean out the air box when you pull the fan.
