Driveshaft CV failure/solution

Driveshaft CV failure/solution
So I've had some problems with the CV joint on the driveshaft (NOT cv shafts, the CV joint on the driveshaft itself) of my 04 1500, and I figured my experience was worth sharing. The boot tore on the CV and it started making noise awhile back, and after doing some research I ordered Dorman part # 932-305, which is a CV joint repair kit. I've read several success stories from guys running this kit, so I figured I'd give it a shot.
Fast forward 5000km, and all the ball bearings were flying down down the highway as the joint let go at highway speeds (no pics, unfourtunately haha). The angle the joint was running at with my lift (2-3" front diff drop bracket I believe? Whatever come with Skyjacker's 6" kit.) was too much for the joint, as it wore the bearing cage out to the point of failure.
As for the solution, 200 bucks a pop for the repair kit every 5000km seemed a little high for my budget. I opted to go with a double cardan style driveshaft from Drive Shaft Specialists, found here http://www.driveshaftspecialist.com/...e%20truck.html for $555 shipped to Canada. A couple pics:
So my advice to anyone running a lift would be to skip the intermediate step and just buy a proper diveshaft. It may save you some time on the side of the highway.
