Hey guys. I've recently noticed a type of rattling or clicking noise that sounds like its either coming from from somewhere in the dash/steering column or around the floorboard. It's only while I'm driving and not sitting at idle. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't. It's a 2WD 5.7 L. Any insight would be great! Thanks

We will need to start with what year, trim level, engine and trans you have.
Then we'll need you to describe the problem a little more.
Can you replicate the problem on command?
Can you tell us at what speeds it happens?
does the sound increase/decrease if you speed up?
Can you hear it from outside of the truck?
Have you had any major/minor maintenance performed on the truck lately?

It's a 2004. The trans is automatic 45RFE. It happens after roughly 10-15 min of driving whether its on the interstate or just regular roads. But on regular roads, it SEEMS to happen more when I decelerate or brake and turn. I can't tell if I can hear it outside the truck or not. When it starts doing it, it starts out where you can barely hear it but then after stopping an going it will get louder. It sounds as if its coming from the steering column or under the dash on the drivers side. Only intermittent rattling not constant and not at idle. Only major maintenance I've had done lately is brakes/rotors and bleeding the lines/putting new fluid in. Didn't notice the sound until a few day after that.

That doesn't narrow it down very much.
I would have the brakes checked by whoever did them because that is the only recent service you've had done, and I am assuming the sounds became apparent right after that service right?
If you did the brakes then you might want to just give them a once over.
I'd also rotate your tires to see if the problem carries with them.
