Default need some help brand new truck shakes

Hey guys and girls, this is my first post in an awsome forum packed to the gills with information. You guys seem to know your stuff so I figure i will ask here befor i go to the dealer tomorrow with the problem. Here it is........ My truck shakes back and forth pretty badly above 65 miles per hour. This is my first big truck and I have a 2005 ram hemi with the 20" tires. Is this a common thing because of the tire size. When I let go of the wheel the truck tracks just fine in a straight line just has a bad shimmy to it where you can see my hole arm vibrating when I hold the wheel. It is even worse in the passenger seat. I hope you all dont scare me to bad with what kind of problem it may be. I was thinking maybe a tire out of balance, I checked air pressure and it was all ok. Help my if you can thanks and have a great day!!!!!!!!!

sounds like a wheel balance issue ... i'd start with taking it in to get the wheels balanced and aligned

4x4 no big bumbs at all 7 miles on it when I picked it up! Warranty Yes I just hope that they can fix the problem and not blame it on the tire manufacture!

I had a friend with the same problem on his ram, and ended up being the rims were bad from the factory. So i do beleive that there are a couple bad sets of 20"s out there. this might help

If you only have 7 miles on it you must have noticed it on the way home from the dealer, unless you live across the street. You should of turned around and took it back right away!!![sm=chairshot.gif]

Yes, from the limited description, most likely a tire or wheel. As noted above, not that uncommon.

All the best.
