after changing the fluid; I used the truck to tow a 5000lbs load across the country. The ttc applied many times under through the hilly terrain. It must have done some good as the condition is pretty much gone.

I haven't been able to make it happen in weeks. The one time it did occur the severity of the jolt was very small...so yay!

My hemi does that fall on its face stumble on light accel weeks before the EGR threw a code. I cleaned that and the TB, cured the random stalling issue.
Still have to replace EGR valve due to still stumbling and performance code. So don't rule out the EGR, besides most times a misfire will throw a P0300 to P0312 code.
