Default transmission issue?

i have a 2007 dodge ram 4.7 2wd with 89k miles on it, i did buy that trans line booster about a year ago same as with the fluids and filter change, well i noticed when i drive it with the OD ON its shifts great threw the gears and all no problem but if i drive with the OD OFF i will drive miles on flat even road and it will not shift out of 3rd, its like it holds the gear forevvverrrrrrr, is this bad? should i be worried? fluids look great not burnt, nor does it smell burt, an idea what it could be?

Doesn't turning OD off change the shift points? AKA tow/haul mode?

O/D and tow/haul aren't the same thing. Tow/haul changes the shift points, O/D locks out the over drive gears - it will never go past third gear.

so then whats happining is normal? it feels like it wants to shift but doesnt, like driving in 1st gear, and yes the fluids are all at level and everything looks good, no leaks or anything

That's what OD off means. No overdrive. Why would you think it would shift out of third when it's activated???
