Default knocking sound coming from underneath! help!

I recently went through some mud pits and sucked some water. Now my truck is making a knocking noise. I was told to just change the oil and it will go away. I was wondering what could cause this AMD what's a good way to clean my engine

Depending on how much water you sucked in and how long you had the water in your engine, a simple oil change might not fix your knocking sound. If you sucked water into your engine, that means that you filled your combustion chambers with water, which drastically increased the pressure in your cylinders. Its very possible that you have bent a pushrod or valve. If you did bend a valve, I would assume that you also have a mangled valve guide in your cylinder head. Also, at operating temperature, (expecially when offroading/mudding) your combustion chambers get very hot. Hot chambers dont mix with cold spring water very well. You may have even broken a chunk out of something, from the rapid cool-down of your engine. Water isnt doing your crank and bearings any favors either. You need to get that out of there ASAP.
When you say "clean" your engine, do you mean inside or outside? If inside, Seafoam is a good product for that. If outside, engine degreaser and a trip to the carwash.

My truck doesnt over heat or anything. Even if I'm off roading. It starts and drives just as it did before it. It's also not throwing a check engine light
