The 4x4 uses torsion bars. The 2wd has coil springs. You can get a coil spring spacer for the 2wd truck. Those that have torsion bars can crank them, although that has been known to possible wear things out prematurely by changing the drive angles.
i'm just wondering, but why in the world would u want to life a 4x2 truck?????? seems kinda pointless to me, but just wondering what your thoughts are on that.
When I did mine I ended up turning my right side a bit more than the left. After about a week of driving they changed again, but finally settled. The ride is definitely rougher, especially going over speed bumps, potholes, etc. To change the ride back to stock you need longer shocks. The 98 (I think)-01 factory shocks are 2 inches longer than the 02+ and will bolt right up.
