Dumb torsion bar question....
Okay this coming friday I am going to turn the bars about 4 times on my 05. I am going to take a few pics and measurements before and somemore afterwards. Then I am going to get it aligned. Do I simply turn both screws to the right? Here is the plan so far
Jack the truck up, support it with jack stands at the frame. Turn each adjustment screw 4 times to the right. lower the truck back to the ground and measure.
I am going to snap pics of the CV axels before and afterwards to compare the angles of thos also.

Clockwise will raise the front of the truck. 4 full turns will only be around 1/4 to 3/8".
Before you start, measure from the ground to the top/inside of each wheel well. Make sure you are even when you are through.
When you lower the truck from the jack/stands, bounce the front up and down a couple times or take if for a quick ride and make it dip on turns, etc. Then measure.

I was looking in a couple of other posts on here and it said that 5 to 7 turns was giving over an inch of gain. Maybe I will have to do a little at a time to check the angles of the stuff up front before I go too far....LOL.
Hmm. Adjustment screws. I see...
I always thought it was odd that people said they were going to turn their torsion bars 4-5 turns - wtf man, that's ~1" thick rod, how are you going to twist that 5 times?

I see. Just the screws.

The heads of the bolts are facing towards the groud, at the rear of the torsion bars. The bars are black, the bolts are more silver.
Basically, the torsion bars are the springs for the front tires.

Make sure you measure both sides of your truck in the front before you start adjusting the torsion bars. If there not the same height you will have to turn one screw more than the other to even it out. I had this problem but was able to adjust it so both side were exactly the same.
