Default 2003 Ram 1500 Oil Pressure Gag Drops

I need a little assistance,
i have a 2003 ram 1500 from a dealership. the truck ran great and continues to run great. about two weeks after the purchse the oil gague would go to low and the check gague light would come on and when i hit the gas it would go back to normal, when i checked the oil stick it was out of oil. i applied more oil and after about a week, it did it again. i was told to put 20/50 syntethic in there and some lucas treatment, it lasted about 9 days then again it happened. what do i need to do. please assist me cause this is pissing me off...

I would hazard a guess and say that the oil pick up tube/screen is clogged with crap.
Possibly the sending unit as well.

Is it losing oil that fast? That's some pretty serious burning/leaking.

yes i checked under for leaks and there none. i took it to a dealership for a pressure test and they said it was fine and the truck was great. but that was after i topped it off with oil. ill try the screen and tube first... anything else?

That much oil has to be going some where either through burning, leaking, or something. I would think it it was a pick up tube or sensor, the oil level should still be good.

Is it smokin at all? During normal driving or maybe when first starting after sitting a bit?

If you just got it, I would take it back and have them make it right. That is a lot of oil in that short of time. Could be something as easy as a bad PCV valve or as bad as the is worn out.
It could also be so sludged up that the oil is not draining back into the pan from the heads.
