Gasket, or something Cracked, Oil in Radiator and Coolant in Cylinder
I just bought a broken Dodge Ram 1500 3.7L and there is oil in the radiator and coolant in one or two cylinders. Is it most likely a gasket, cracked head or block? Anybody? Please help....Thanks!! 11 secs ago
You're probably right on the mark, time to start pulling it apart--at least down to the heads to fully diagnose. Might want to do some prelim work like a compression check nd such. Oil in the antifreeze is never a good thing, but doesn't necessarily indicate a cracked head either, could just be a bad head or intake gasket.
thanks, if I drain the radiator then put new oil in it and fire it up it runs fine but as soon as I start filling the radiator it starts having problems and eventually won't run anymore. I hope it is just a head gasket...
