2008 1500 5.7 Lamarie
Hey y'all. I'm thinking about trading my truck in and I saw a beautiful 2008 1500 5.7 Lamarie. It has 120k miles, but if the price is right I might get it. I own a 2005 currently and most people said that 2005 was the best year. But, was there any specificly wrong with the 2008 models? Anything I should be cautious about?
Yeah, I know. I'm assuming it's all highway miles. When I got my 2005 It had 103k and it's at 150k now. All highway and it still drives like it's brand new. My dealer is letting me upgrade my truck. I saw this http://www.mariousedcars.com/vehicle...e-ram-1500--63
Looks clean. I'm just asking if there is anything bad about a 2008 model?

Nope. I have 67K on my 08 and it runs great. It has the MDS so the MPG's should be better if driven easy.
That truck is NOT a Laramie. The Laramie has a different front bumper section and dual climate control and usually leather seats with the 6 disc radio, not the standard one that it has now. That SLT with the Bighorn option package like mine is. It may also be a ThunderRoad, depending on where it was sold originally.
Looks to be in pretty good shape. I like the 06-08 because they don't have the plug wires stung all over the top of the engine. They have a dual coil on each cylinder. The 08 also only has one resonator in the exhaust instead of two like the 06/07. Hopefully that truck has 3.92 gears and not 3.55's
Oddly enough, someone only debadged the tailgate. It has either been wrecked or stolen and replaced. It should have a a Ram emblem in the center, Bighorn on the bottom left and 4x4 on the bottom right. The front bumper seems to have taken a pole hit as well.
Here is my tailgate without the 4x4 since mine is 2wd.
