I am wanting to do halos, 5000k hids, projectors, paint my housings black and tint the outside of my headlights and fog lights. I would also like to paint some eyelids on my headlights too. I'm pretty new to this site. Are there any good how to's for this? What about vendors with good prices for members?

 

theres a how to to paint your headlights and do the eyelids in the DIY, if you search halo there are quite a few threads on that as well (maybe even a diy, i know weedahoe did a diy on the halos), and i believe there is a sticky on the hids.

Whatever you do, don't tint your lenses. Yeah, they look cool, but you're spending money on HIDs, let them SHINE! Don't muffle them.

I agree with dodge dude, tinting your headlights, maybe not such a good idea.

Right now I have tinted headlights on my truck and I agree with both of you that it greatly reduces the light output. I was thinking that if I put in projectors and hid's that those would increase the light output enough with the tint to be better for driving, but I don't think I'll be tinting them this time. Thanks for the links ewing! As soon as I get everything together and start the process I'll make my own diy thread for everyone to see!
