Default 2007 1500 Quad Cab 2WD leveling

Gents,

I have 125k miles and looking to replace the factory shocks. What is the best way to accomplish the front end level and whats shocks?

For 2WD you can't use any kind of shocks to level the front end. You could either get 3" lift spindles or a coil spacer to level and then 2" longer shocks of your choice

My thought was the coil spacer now what is the preferred shock? I don't run fully loaded often but usually have 300-400 lbs in the back.

Unless you're going 3" plus (maybe even then), you only need stock shocks. Mine got a 2 1/2" level five years ago. I replaced the OEM shocks just this past January. I used stock Monroe Reflex.

There only appears to be a 1" difference from front to back so would I use the 1.5" spacer? Also I heard if you do a spacer you need a longer shock or it will top out.

Gotta be more than a 1" difference. My 2 1/2" still left a rake. What you "heard" is wrong. If you do a level, all you'll need is an alignment.

If you frequently have 300-400# in the bed, I'd say you don't need a level at all. Just get a set of decent stock-type shocks and call it done.

You don't NEED longer shocks if you level but it's advised if you go anywhere that would cause a good deal of suspension travel. If youre just cruisin around town then you would be fine. But yea if youre rolling around with 3-400 lbs in the rear then you would be nose up most likely if you leveled it

OK So I see a ton of discussion on 4wd shocks but not much at all for 2WD. It looks like not near as many options. Rancho RS5000 or Bilstein 4600?? Any other good choices?

Also while doing the shocks what else might I need to do? I have noticed lately that when I hit a pothole it wants to drift more than it should. Any bushings to address or upgrade?
