What on the vin will tell you that or do you just have to look it up ?
Just bought a 2001 5.9 SLT 150 . It has power locks and would like to get a remote if it will work .

You use a VIN decoder to see you trucks options at the time of purchase. Such as this one, just replace the VIN in the URL with your own VIN and up will come a build sheet saying if it had remote keyless entry somewhere.
You could also pop out the cluster and if you have a module plugged into the back it has RKE.

You can also email Dodge Customer Support as ask for the build sheet to your specific vehicle. All you have to do is give them your VIN.
