2004 Dodge Ram 1500 v8 4.7 engine.
Daughter in law took lunch to hubby. Hubby went to turn truck on for wife(very hot here in TX) when he put key in lights in dash started flickering and he heard a noise like a taser being used. ( hubby in military will know that sound). When he tries to turn the truck on it jumps but the starter won't turn. Need to know where to look first.
Called dealership says might be BCM or could be that my son is not a patient person so I didn't hear what the tech actually said.
Please let me know where to look first. Son already checked to make sure the grounds on the truck are secure.

Try and borrow a battery and try it.
Sounds like a flat battery or a dead cell in it to me.
Start with the easy stuff first.
