Default synthetic oil

I have a 2005 ram quad cab 4x4 with the Hemi, I bought it a couple of years ago with 70000 miles on it, it now has 90k miles on it. As far as I know it has always used regular motor oil. My question is would there be any benefit in switching to synthetic now. I'ts an everyday driver and in the summer I pull a 26 ft. tt occasionally.

Yes, but be careful as to what condition your motor is in. The theory is- a lot of times the only reason you do not get leaks is because seals are basically "held together" by the amount of build up you might have. After a few synthetic oil changes, the build up gets cleaned up and you might develop leaks. At this point you can definitely start using a high mileage oil.
There's a lot of debate as to what is "true synthetic oil" and what isn't, but I personally use only synthetic, even in vehicles that have a lot of miles and previous oil situation unknown.

You can read about the benefits of using synthetic vs regular motor oil all over the Internet, that being said, these engines do not necessarily require synthetic oil.

The cool thing is, most of the hemi's seals are more like rubber o-rings than actual gaskets (like my old engines valve cover gaskets). They tend to last alot better. I started using synthetic at about 30,000 (bout it at 28,000) and I am almost at 129,000 using synthetic oil changes (switched over to Mobil1 high mileage at about 90,000) at 6000 mile intervals.

I switched to full synth at about 54k miles.
At about 137k now.
Good stuff IMHO.

To me, all vehicles can benefit from using a synthetic oil.

FWIW, I've seen pictures of valve galleys, rockers and whatnot just covered in a carbon substance and the only oil that's been run in the engines is synthetic. So it's up to you.

Conventional oil here, all except my Mazda Turbo. It gets synthetic 'cause o' the turbo.

I usually run M1 but have often used RP when I can buy a bulk of it cheap.
I change my oil every 10K and at 182K miles now truck still seems very happy.
If I changed every 5 or 6K miles I doubt I would use synthetic.
