Default Instrument Cluster or Wire Issue?

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup just recently after it sat for a couple weeks when I went to start it up it started fine but I had no gauges turn signals high beams almost everything electrrical was down minus radio. After doing some research I found most problem to be the instrument cluster. Bought one and just recieved it today as I went to replsce it first off the 3 wire connecters were flipped. Where mine white was on lefg and 2 black were on right this one wad the opposite but was stillbout of a 2002. To make matters worse the new cluster went in and my truvk then wouldnt start. I put the old onr back on and startrd tinkering the white wire on the back i then had lights and everything but once i moved agsin they shut off. But at this point still wouldnt start once it had been installed. I dont trust dealerships anymore so I wanna get as much info as I can before I may end up having to take it. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your battery connections and fuses first

But with fuses isnt that to many things to be pff for it to be something as simple as a fuse. I pulled ever fuse that sounded like It could have had something to do with it but none of them had tripped.

Could be a bad fuse box under the hood. Check the bottom side for moisture/corrosion.

Now my question is, if a different uear cluster is installed then the model year truck could thay edfext why my truck wont start now. Now mind you the only difference like I said is in the back the wire adapters, normally white connector is on left 2 black ones are on right. Thi is is opposite, any info os very helpfuul.
