Default lowering my daytona 4X4

Does anyone know if any company makes lowering kits for a 4X4? I have only seen kits for 2 wheel drive trucks. Also will lowering a 4 wheel drive truck mess with the 4 wheel drive? I love my daytona but would like to lower it a bit.

I'm sure there is... however lowering a 4x4 truck is NOT a good idea. I don't understand Dodge's motive on making a STREET truck with 4x4
SRT-10 Ram NOT AVAILABLE IN 4x4
WHY MAKE A DAYTONA IN 4x4?!?!

GOOD ADVICE: DONT lower it. Leave it.

yeh I dont get that either, why in the world would someone buy a 4x4 and then try to lower it... pure insanity, why wouldnt a person just get one that was a 4x2 to begin with??? It certainly would have been cheaper and with what you saved you could have not only paid for the lowering accessories(shackles, springs, shocks, etc.) but you probly could have bought a new set of sweet rims/tires to go with it. I guess I never understood the thought process of buying a truck and then lowering it, why not buy a car that is already sitting on the ground, after all once you lower it you cant haul anything anyway.

Only fools and morons lower a 4x4 truck. They dont make any lowering kits to my knowledge for a 4x4 Ram. I know there are kits for a 4x2

If you are seriously considering this, you should use another truck. You not only would wind up spending more money then you should, chances are it would be all custom work to make it work 100%.

I had a lowered 4X2 S-10 and the winters up here in jersey suck, wich is the main reason i sold it and went with the truck I just recently purchased. I didn't want to slame it to the ground, I was thinking (*key word*) "THINKING" of maybe something modest like and inch or 2 just to level it out, and if it ment compramising the 4 wheel drive then I totally agree it isn't worth it.

If you wanted to level it out then I could really understand that. They do make kits for leveling the truck out. I'm sure some of the guys in here have various autopart websites for some of those goodies.

I think you should be banned for even posting this. Why buy a 4x4 or a truck for that matter if you want to lower it. Where I live you get shot for thinking that way.[8D]

I bet you are one of those billhillies with a 4x4'd Ford Station wagon.

Chances are he's a young guy and he's asking an innocent while silly question. Banning him? That's just stupid. Even still, can we take him out back and dunk him in the toilet? [8D]
