Default Maybe someone can identify this?

I have always wondered what this little connector was for but just never wanted to ask. I think it was snapped in somewhere with a plastic clip but I am not sure what happened to it because now it just hangs down beside my driver headlight.

Its the ambient air temp sensor...normally bolts somewhere on the right side in your picture...the clip portion was broken on mine so I just zip tied it in front of the radiator...not problems yet.

Interesting. Dodge moved it in 2003 apparently.

Because that sensor is on the hood, behind the grille in 2002.

I noticed that on a friend's truck. The TYC headlights I got I think were modeled after 02's, since it didn't have the notched area for the sensor (fixed that with a dremel).

02 was kinda weird for the 1500's, there were cues from the previous gen all over (decal placement, some of the wire routing I noticed).
