Smile Some Help Needed

Hey Guys,

Been lurking on here for about a year just looking at pics and stuff. lol.
But I finally got myself a Ram, its a 2002 single cab v6 manual.

Problem im having is, it doesnt really wanna accelerate. Its fine up to about 65 in 4th, but getting to 75 is a struggle and she doesnt wanna drive past 3500rpm.
Any ideas about whats going on?

Thanks!
Chris

Put the truck in neutral and attempt to rev the engine past 3500rpm.

While stopped of course.

He meant what gear ratio do you have in your rear axle?

3.21, 3.55?

That's a good sign. I'd be looking at tune up stuffs and a possibly a transmission issue.

I'd almost lay odds that there are 3.55's in there, but to be safe, either get the build sheet, or turn the drive wheel one full revolution while counting the number of revs the driveline makes. That should get you close enough to figure out what's inside for ratio.
