Looks like the average price of a new one is $500+ and there are several nice ones on ebay

After calling several dealers, the lowest I could get one to go was 570 + tax +140 labor to install and program. Considering the dealer I brought it to wanted 1000+ , As sick as I am about having to do this, I think I got the best deal I could.
I found a source on ebay that wanted 500 + 150 core. I figured for another 70 plus tax, I wouldn't have to bother with returning a core, and also this way, the dealer can't tell me I got a faulty part!!!

This just makes me sick, having to spend this kind of money to get my turn signals back.
My truck has never been to a dealer for any kind of service, but they sure have me over a barrel on this one. Even if I found a used one, I still have to go to them for programming, and then there's no guarantee or liability on the dealers part that it'll work.

sucks

Well, at the end of all of this, let's hope this is what resolves it. Dealers do like to place the games of replacing parts until it's fixed too

Right. I highly doubt even you would go thru all that rewiring!! You can talk a big game cause you don't have this piece of crap computer controlled power system!! You are lucky. I was seriously thinking of how I could bypass this black box. Then I disconnected it from it's housing and saw the hundred or so wires that connect to the back. Not going to happen! I guess every year has it's gremlins. I'm glad I don't have to worry so much about valve springs letting loose...
