Default Power Window Issues

Hello all, I just recently purchased a 2005 Ram 1500 4.7 with full power options, and have encountered a problem with the power windows.

All work except for the driver rear window, wouldnt roll down from the master switch or the local switch, so I took it back to the dealer and he juggled with it a bit, unplugged it, plugged it back in at the the master, worked fine..both switches.

A day or 2 goes by and it does this again, so I dick with it and can't seem to get it to work at all, all the wires look good from what I can see. Anybody have any experience with this? It's not a huge issue, just kinda annoying.

So you by wiggling the switch you made it work. Which means you either had a bad/loose connection or a bad switch. Replace as needed.

Broken wire in the door harness, most likely.

Are the switch LEDs for the window lit with ignition on?

This has happened before on here. Do a search. I will try find it if I can and post it. Something to do with wiring in master switch I think.

Read through this. Hope it helps. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...r-windows.html

ASCHENAVAR,

I would bring it back to the dealer that looked at it first and let them know that the problem was resolved. Something may have to be replaced.

Please PM me if you have any questions.

I have 2005 am 2500 QC which had the same issue.. What i found was that all the wires both under the Driver side controls as well as the rear door controls looked good, however....... Once i pulled the rubber boot which surrounds the wiring harness back from between the door and the body there was a cut wire. Overtime the constant open and closing of the door just worked the cable through. Spliced in and soldered a new short piece and have not had another issue.

yea, all the switches are lit up with power to them, but I have done a lot of reading today..seems to be a common problem so I'll prolly look at it this weekend and see what I can come up with..thanks for the replies!
