Default Please help asap!!

I am out hunting an hour away from any civilization when the passenger cv axle on my 03 ram 1500 decides to let go off the spigot on the diff. I managed to remove th cv axle but am wondering if it is okay to drive the truck without it?

I saw a guy run his truck in FWD for a bit after he snapped his driveshaft.

Yes you can, my front cv boot blew and I drove for thousands of miles with just the driver side in. Then the driver side blew and I removed it. I've been driving with no from CV's for thousands of miles.

I have only used the 4wd for 30 seconds of the whole time I have had my truck so it's not a necessity to replace them right away. Although, I'm in the process of re-doing all the front end components and I will soon replace the CV's and diff oil etc.

I have notice an increase in MPG's though!!!

Also, 2wd and 4wd use the same wheel bearing/hub. The front CV's do NOT provide any support to the front wheel bearings like other cars. So no worries there. I put grease all over my exposed splined shafts so they won't rust and corrode.
