Default replacing water pump

i have to replace the water pump on my 07 1500 hemi, was thinking about changing the coolant over to the green stuff instead of the longlife orange which seems to be pretty hard on the cooling system, anyone ever do this? what do you guys think? thanks

Stick with the OEM factory HOAT coolant or it's full equivalent.
You don't want to compromise your engine.

I flushed mine a couple of years ago and used Prestone Extended Life.

make sure you don't mix the two. get all the old stuff out of your system.
I would remove the thermostat and flush it that way.
replacing with a 180 degree thermostat will make you run a lot cooler too.
but in Canada You may not need it.

Definitely stay with the HOAT. It is designed for your engine, the seals, the mix of iron and aluminum. Your stock thermostat is 203 degrees.

Zerex G05 is what I used when I changed my coolant Pretty much same stuff from dealership, and costs little less. Picked it up at my local auto parts store.

I've been using green since my first flush and i bought my truck brand new. I'm close to 100k now and flushed a couple times over the years and never went with snyth different. You will be fine.

HOAT is over rated and over priced.
