Default about to buy...

I haven't been on here in a long time but I am about to buy a 2006 4x4 Mega Cab 2500 with the Cummins/Auto drivetrain. It has 155K miles. Is there anything I should be looking out for as possible problems with that amount of miles?

any input would be appreciated.

I really wouldn't be to concern. When I traded my 04 3500 in I had about 400K miles on it. Then on an 01 I just retired had well over 700K miles on it.

As long everything is up to date on I wouldn't worry to much.

Just do the regular maintenance (don't assume someone already did). At 155K, the Cummins is barely broken in.

I picked it up yesterday and I am really pleased with it. The only issue I could find with it is the power steering is notchy. When there is pressure on the steering wheel (like in a turn) if feels like the pump builds and loses pressure. I figured the pump is the problem.

I didn't figure that would be a terrible fix.

Check the fluid before doing anything else. Power steering I believe uses ATF IV. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

it's under "Maintaining your Vehcile 511"

BUT, I would check your rack to see if your leaking from either of the bellows. The racks on these trucks are terrible and begin leaking on the inside due to seal issue's. My truck is a 2008, only has 15kmi and my rack is leaking from the pass side bellow.
