I will get back under the truck.. maybe this week.. and do a retorque.
but its under 32 degrees around here right now.

I got under the truck.
the 4 bolts holding the driveshaft to final was tough to remove. threadlocker worked well.
with parking brakes on. I could not move the pinion nut (On or Off) without rotating wheels. with 1/2 inch breaker bar. book said spec is 200 ft lb.. and I think it is...
added Red threadlocker to threads of pinion. and reinstalled driveshaft with threadlocker on there 4 bolts..

Greetings, went by the shop to check on my truck and all items have been approved to replace the rear end & drive shaft. Waiting on the parts to come in now. All new. The whole rear end. It was a hole in the bottom the size of a lg coffee cup. I saw the total cost as of now is $4087.00. Glade that I had bought a warranty when I got the truck. Who would think that I would have a problem with a truck with only 31000 miles. I was in perfect shape. Garage kept. Will let all know when I get it back..

that is what happened to my 1963 Oldsmobile F85.. but I was going about 15 in a parking lot. way back in the day.
you had a part breakage. I feel a little better now.
spider gears ROD broke.. and all the spider gears went everywhere and no place to go.
