why??

The IGN switch should be fully serviceable without removing the Steering Wheel.... Now if the problem is the clock spring, then he'd have to remove the steering wheel....

There is actually a youtube video out there somewhere that shows the steps to replace the ignition switch...

Yeah, ditto that, do NOT remove the steering wheel. It's only held in by a few screws once you remove the lower plastic housing.
