Default Parking light keep coming on

I've got an 04 1500 RAM that the parking lights keep coming on. Even with the truck shut off. Only way to turn them off is to disconnect the battery. A little baffled on this. We just had some super cold days here that caused some starting problems. But other than that, she's been running fine. Any thoughts or suggestions?

did you change HOW you turn off the lights and the key?

I know on mine if I turn off the lights and quickly turn off the key. the parking lights will stay on..

I wait 30 seconds after turning off the lights and turning off the key.

The only thing I have changed is I put a battery tender on it to keep the battery from dying while it sits in the garage. I don't drive it as often as I used to, and with the extreme cold we had here earlier in the week, I didn't want my battery going dead on me in case I needed the 4-wheel drive. Other than that, it's business as usual..

most Rams has a timer on the parking lights.. I think 5 minutes...

are you waiting for the timer to time out?

the computer controls the lights.. maybe a computer issue.

This morning, I walked out to the garage and the lights were on. I disconnected the battery and left it for about 30 minutes. When I hook the battery back up, the lights come back on and won't turn off.

I think is has something to do with the computer control fuse box..

you may need to visit the dealer so there big computer can look into it.

the light switch goes to the computer system and turns stuff on and off.

Sounds exactly what happened when my fuse box went bad.

How did you diagnose it? Did you replace it yourself? Are you talking about the fuse panel under the hood next to the battery?
