Angry HELP! Breaks

I have a 2008 Ram Hemi and I just replaced the front break pads and not when hard breaking I now have a grinding noise and the pedal feels like metal on metal. I took them apart and I don't see anything rubbing. Hope someone can help, Thanks

Are your rotors scored (have lines grooved into them)? If so, you'll need to have your rotors turned to smooth them out. If your rotors are good, you'll just have to get in there and see what's grinding. Take the tire off, and with a good flashlight, look in there, and spin the rotor. Try to see where it's touching.

I am thinking it may be that I put on ceramic brake pads, that is the only thing that is different, rotoes are in good shape.

Ceramic pads are fine
Make sure the dust shield is not bent. Check the anti rattle clips. Did you use disc brake quite?

If you didn't replace the rotors, you will get grinding. I don't know of any shops resurface rotors anymore, too much liability. Rotors are cheap enough. Google how to seat new brake pads.

Find a local privately owned auto shop that has tools to turn your rotors. If you bought the truck new and have never done a brake job yet, then you should have plenty of meat left on those rotors.

FYI, I just installed cheap powerstop slotted and drilled rotors with ceramic pads and they have been amazing so far. For the price, they are hard to beat.
