Hello all, I am looking for a part number for the black plastic cap that is suppose to be on the top edge of the tailgate for a 2008 ram. I bought my truck and it does not have this piece. I assume they removed it so the tonnue cover would cover over the tailgate. I no longer have the cover so I would like to replace the stock trim piece, thanks.

 

They sell one on www.AutoAnything.com that looks better and is significantly less expensive than the dealer.

You might want to try that alternative.

 

Izero is right. It has been my experience that non-dealer sources usually are much cheaper. While the logic of this world says that it should have been the opposite.

 

You can possibly find one in your local scrap yard.
