Default Transmission Temperature sender

I purchased this truck with a temperature gauge already installed, I am seeing high temperatures on this gauge with the truck performing minimal work.I was wondering if this is the best port to pull and accurate temperature from this transmission. See Photos. On a side note what model is this transmission?

Define high temps so we can tell you if it's normal or not.

Default High Temperature

Approaching 240 degrees pulling slight grade with 30ft fifth wheel, 65MPH road. In town it will climb over 200 during
normal driving.

That seems a little on the high side. Weed is pretty knowledgable but over 200 with normal driving? I can see the 240 pulling a 30'er.

200 to 240 is average. Ambient temps, fluid conditions, fluid level, driving style, trans filer all can affect fluid temps.
