Power steering problem
I'm having a hard time finding a pump with the pulley installed. The one I linked to on eBay, actually didn't have the pulley wheel installed, although the picture shows otherwise. Any recommendations on where to buy either a remanufactured or used pump with the pulley wheel on it?
I bought pump and solved the problem. if you are doing it yourself i would get one with pulley already on. If not if you dont have a pulley press, rent one from autozone. It is not an easy task switching the pulley over, but manageable. Good luck, i just did this recently so if you have any questions message me.
Update on my pump, bought a used one off of eBay with the pulley wheel and reservoir and sent it to my freight forwarding address in Florida. Got it a week after here in Greenland and replaced the old one with it. Got help from two of my friends, which speeded up the process. Got it done in about 2 hours. Problem solved, just like Weedahoe said. If details are needed, just ask, but it's a pretty straight forward job. 3 bolts to get the pump off and just screw off the 2 hoses. Have some kind of a pan to catch the oil, as it gets quite messy when draining the system. Picked up 5 liters of ATF4, as I was unsure how much the entire system could have, but turns out you just need about 1 liter for the whole system. But having the pulley wheel on the replacement pump, saved me alot of time and tools.
Thanks for the update, yeah thats exactly how mine went. Except I bought one without the pulley since it was quite a bit cheaper. Rented tool from autozone, got my $40 back when I returned so it saved me some money. But with 35's my truck was next to impossible to drive in parking lots, sure am glad I fixed this.
