Why keep buying a 4.7 just to blow it up? Buy a Hemi and call it a day. I know this is not the answer you were looking for but why not go for the upgrade?

I hate the 4.7 I'd love to do a hemi I swap but than I need the pcm, exhaust, wire harness, fuel injectors, alternator AC pump etc just gets to pricey for me plus the motors are way more.
Also what year 4.7s should fit

If I'm not mistaken anything 03 and newer should work, just have to make sure you have the correct tooth crank tone ring. The real question is, why do they keep blowing up? Is it internal engine failure, or cooling system? Are yu using the same cooling system components that it came with?

Default Bad luck

The 1st time was a blown water pump at 90k than 6months later head gaskets i pulled the heads all 8 were destroyed. I notice one cam had a small crack an a few bad lifters, so i replaced the lifters, cam, head gaskets an head studs an decked the heads. Truck ran good temp was good, fast forward a year of no issues, truck starts running warmer than usual. I filled it(gallon low) very next day dame thing 3/4 temp gallon low coolant. At this point i realize head gasket an water is most likely dumping i to the cyclinders before i could rip into it on the 3 rd day pop. Done poof.. Im pulling the engine right now to diagnose the issue but i want to find a low mile motor or remanufactured with warranty nee water pump new oil pump an try again. Im in souther michigan if anyone has contacts on engines
