Hi all,

I have a '06 3500 Mega cab 4WD, Cummins and a '98 quad cab 2500 4WD, Cummins with 5spd.

So, it only makes sense, we bought my son a 2005 1500 4WD 4DR. It came with 31" tires, he would like to put a 3" lift/leveling kit. The largest tire he would want would be 33".

I did not have to lift my other trucks, though I did beef up the rear suspension on the '98 and will lift the front on the '06 here soon.

3" lift and leveling, suspension, no body lift.

So, I am open to suggestions for the best complete kit or combo I could get. I have seen a lot, but the cost range is so wide it is not funny. I do not know enough about the products on line to make a good choice. I live in the Central Valley of California, 15 miles from the nearest town and 60 miles from Modesto. I am trying to locate a local company, but so far no luck.

I do not mind buying the kit from one company and matching it to a good set of shocks. I would like to hear about good companies and the ones to avoid.

Any help and direction is appreciated.

Look into rough country. I just received my 2inch front leveling springs for my 12. They have packages with and without shocks. I went with bilstein shocks.

Are you running bigger wheels? Also, what exact bilsten shocks did you end up getting?

Did you noticed a height difference after the installation?

Yes 305/70/17 Nittos. Went with the zero-2.5 inchs of lift shocks. No height difference. Rides much better.

Awesome, I'll probably do the same on mine for coil springs. Post some pictures of your truck after the installation if you dont mind.
