Its driving me nuts!!! anyone know how to get it to shut off?? (besides the obvious) I am in and out of my truck alot, and don't usually put the belt on unless going for a long drive. This chime is making me CRAZY!

 

Check your owner's manual, which gives instructions on how to disable the chime.

 

Am I the only one that reads the manuel when I get a new vehicle???

fixed it... thanks... and I read the manual...so now I can put my windows up and down....

 

I actually went to the manual first and followed the steps but still have the chiming noise. I gave up but would still like to get rid of the bell. Any ideas? I have the '04 1500 QC.

 

it didn't work for me the first time either, the oonly thing I can think of is after clipping and unclipping 3 times, make sure you leave the last one in the clip, then turn the truck off, but don't turn the key all the way back, once you hear the chime, you know it worked. oh yeah, also make sure you do it all within 10 seconds...

 

Yes, it's been my experience if these sort of things don't work, it's because we either missed a step, were too slow, or didn't quite do something EXACTLY correctly--like anything via computer.

Reading the manual is a good thing..I was even able to disable the d*** horn blow when locking the doors with the remote.

That was driving me and the dog outta our minds!
