Default New Here and Needy ...LOL

just joined, also just acquired an 06 Ram quad with 246k and a bad 5.7. I
found myself a replacement with 9k on it and am getting ready to do the swap. I'm 59 years old and have worked on and built street rods for most of my adult life as a hobby, so I'm not ignorant to this type operation but I'm likewise not ignorant to the fact that there is more that I don't know than I do know. So what I'd like to ask is any advice, tricks or shortcuts that those of you who have the knowledge might pass on to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Label EVERYTHING. Depending on what year your replacement engine came from, use your sensors/switches from your 06.
