Here is a silly question for all my fellow third generation Ram owners. I bet this has a really simple answer but I don't feel like pondering this anymore. What is the hook for next to the glove box on the dash of my truck? Is it for handing up the cowboy hat that I don't own? I prefer to use it to hang a couple of plastic grocery bags when I make a quick stop at the super market, keeps them from sliding around. Who knows for sure? Thanks All---Kevin

 

What's it for? Anything YOU wish to hang on it.

 

I was told it was for hanging a trashbag.

sometimes my girlfriend hangs her purse from it, otherwise its basically useless, but was a good place for some engineer to decide putting a screw through it.

 

Actually, that is to secure the passenger due to the incredible g-forces that the hemi produces.
