Default 2006 Quad rear end problems

Greetings. Have a 06 quad slt. If I let rear pass. window down , I hear a WHUP WHUP WHUP sound. This has been a problem since the purchase in 08 with 32000 miles. Now it has 73145 miles. I don't drive it much because the ride sucks. New tires, rims, front end rebuilt. Just had differential fluid changed. Shift clunk from Park to Drive is gone. Waste of money truck. Thoughts and opinions respected.

Lots of cars do that. If I open one rear window on my Journey, it does it. All that wind rushing in creates some kind of weird resonance. If I crack open another, it goes away. Sorry for your troubles. It is a truck, shouldn't expect it to ride like a car.

Why didn't you do something right after you bought it?

Just a tip. Not a good way to ask help from folks who actually like their trucks. And yes, you're hearing "WHUPPING" of air in the cab.

This.

Crack the opposite window a bit, and I bet the noise is greatly reduced. Something about the shape of our windows and the truck's aerodynamics makes the noise more pronounced than in other vehicles. I barely notice it in my Silverado (Although the 37" Trail Graps make enough noise to drown out most wind noise LoL).

I'll lower another window and see what happens. The truck was a gift from my wife. Didn't drive it much due to the price of gas . I thought the sound was due to bad tires.

Sounds like a mighty fine woman you got there. Bad tires you can usually "feel" as well as hear. Either way, keep us posted. Good peeps on here are sure to help.
