The "chrome clad" were plastic covers. The polished aluminum wheels were solid (and polished, surprisingly) aluminum -- no covers.

 

I'm sure there is a wheel guy in your town. They can make them look like brand new. I had mine polished awhile back. All of them are not chrome clad.

I noticed you have another post about wanting to add power to that 4.7. One thing that's hurting you is having 20" wheels that are a good bit heavier than 17" wheels not to mention have a good deal more rolling resistance.

Instead of spending $ on those beat up 20s, put it toward a set of light, aluminum 17" wheels. You will also see a gain in fuel economy...

 

Don't get that man's hopes up like that! LoL

 

I've got factory 17s also I traded the 20s up an yes goin from my 17s to my 20s it went for 16 down to 14 or sometime little bit more

 

They are NOT covers on the 2005-prior petal wheels. Only the 2006+ wheels have plastic covers.

The only way is to sand the corrosion out and polish them and even then they may still look uneven. Too much work really. Easiest thing would be to drop them off at a wheel shop and they can acid dip them and blast them and then polish, or even drop them in the Chroming tank.
Worthwhile wheels to drop a few hundred on them since they are solid aluminum and are 20's.

 

I've seen the "chrome clad" plastic covers off of the daisy petal wheels. There have been pictures posted here of it, as well. "Chrome clad" was the plastic cover over the rough wheel, and polished aluminum wheels were just that, with no covers. I saw it at Wilkes-Barre Dodge in Pa in 2005 when I bought my truck there (dealership no longer exists, unfortunately, victim of the mass closures several years ago). Maybe TS has roughed up polished aluminum wheels, but there WERE two different types of daisies -- one with plastic covers and one solid.
