Cleaned my TB, plugged it in and started the truck and it ran fine. How is that possible if it needs "training"? A Dodge mechanic said that's a bunch of crap. Believe what you will.

The NEW TB needs to be learned by the ECM to know where the butterfly is at WOT and zero open on the TPS. During the learn, the throttle plates are cycled and the feed back resistance is registered in the ECM. Once they are learned, they don't have to be relearned unless the TB is replaced.
