06' 6.1 HEMI RAM, YES OR NO??
i'm new here, and wondering if there will be a 6.1 hemi for the 2500 series ram for 06' and when? i am anixously awaiting to trade in my 03' 1500 hemi quad ram for a newer one. thank you for any info!

I remember reading somewhere that the 6.1 was being used for the SRT lineup in 06'. However, I cant remember where I read that lil gem of info or its validiity. Anything is possible with the manufactures these days so ya never know.

If DMC follows their past policy, remember when the 5.7 Hemi was introduced in 2002? Mid year introduction in the 2500 Ram Heavy Duty only......
Will they make the 6.1 in a detuned option on the 06 1/2 2500?????
My guess is yes, watch them detune the 6.1 to 380 hp for the 3/4 ton truck. If so, it will progress from there, just as the 5.7 did.
Just my $.02 worth on this.

I remember reading somewhere that it was supposed to be an option for the Mega Cab in 2007. Then again that could've been someone else's rumor. Anyway, I was told not to hold my breath.

6.1 in the new rams no but dodge is coming out with a 6.7 liter diesel to take over the 2500 and up trucks in 2007 or 8 i have heard. not positive but i also heard that they might also use a bluetec motor from the benz trucks also. but straight from the dodge dealer the newest diesel to come out will be a 6.7 cummins....."madman"
