Default Under the Dash Lights

I am wanting to install some under the dash lights. OK, this is why. In another vehicle, to diagnose a failure, intermittent, my mechanic connected a Data reader that would record all drive ability functions, when installed, a red light illuminated and cast a neat glow on my floorboards. SO, I thought installing a LED would add an eerily, and pretty cool glow.

Any suggestions as to what wire I can connect to so the lights would come on with dash lights?

Since your dash lights come on with your headlight switch when turning on the running or parking lights, use that wire.

That's my hope. If I can determine, readily which wire...is the parking/headlight wire.
int he days passed, older cars, we used to plug into a fuse that was energized when the switch was turned on. Didn't worry about "frying" a circuit...weren't any.
Want to find a blue or blueish/gray LEDs ..to install

I have lots of LED materials I use for work. Let me know how many strips and what length and I'll give you a good price on them

I'm a newcomer user on LED striplights, Ima thinking just 2- 10" to 12", blue..my interior is gray.
Do the strips come with wires, I have seen LED strips, under cabinet in homes, come in reels, cut a length, attach a wire to the end...viola...led illumination....

What is your vocation that would lend to such a LED availibility? and cost, please?

Because I use these materials daily in my job, my rolls are typically 500ft per roll. I can cut to whatever length you want and add however long wires you want on them. Cost depends on length of strips and wires. Figure out where you want and what you want and let me know and then I can get you a price.

I want two strips, 10 to 12 " long. Blue tone lights. With 3 foot wires attached. One will be under dash on right side, other, under dash, left side
