Default MIL light - 03 hemi

A few weeks ago, my MIL light came on, p0440, so I replaced my Mopar locking gas cap with a new Mopar locking gas cap and reset the code.

My MIL light came on yesterday, so I got out my SC tuner and read the codes. Now it's throwing p0440, p0685, p2106, & p2112. I looked them up.

p0440 = evap system perf
p0685 = ecm/pcm power relay control circuit /open
p2106 = throttle actuator ctrl sys - forced limited power
p2112 = throttle actuator ctrl sys - stuck closed

What is really bizarre is the truck seems to run just fine. Performance seems okay. I thought p2106 puts you in "limp in mode", but that is not the case. I thinking my truck should be DOA with these DTC's!

I have about 22,000 miles on the truck. I've owned it since new. I had the SC 87 octane program on it, but I returned it to stock a couple weeks ago because I was taking it to the stealer for some other work.

I'm not sure what's going on here and I plan to take it to the stealer since it is still under warranty. Just curious if anyone else with a hemi has had all these codes at once. I know a lot of people get the p0440, but what about the others?

I don't recall the flash updates, but there is a flash update for erroneous ETC mils on 2003's. I had two applied to mine.

The same thing is happening to my truck...but with P0441. Basically the same thing. The check light annoys the crap out of me.

Mine throws P0441 instead of P0440 once in a while, too. It's always accompanied by one of the other codes listed above. I'm going out of town for a while, then near the end of the month I'm taking it to the stealer. I'll follow-up with what happens at the stealer. I don't expect much because they didn't even know anything about the additive the 03 1500's require for the 3.92 limited slip.

It threw P0441 along with the other DTCs I posted previously. Stealer said P0440, P0441, & P0685 were all the related to a bad evap purge solenoid. They replaced part number 04669569. They said the other DTCs 2106 & 2112 were due to running WOT a lot. We'll see. I like to jump on this thing once in a while, but I'm not constantly running WOT, especially considering the price of gasoline lately. Why should the vehicle throw codes if you floor it every now and then? Sounds like stealer BS to me. I'll follow up again in a few weeks to see if the problem is solved. Good luck with yours.

Default PO440 error code

I know this was an incredibly old post however I am hoping you still may be able to help me out as I am new to this game. I too have a 2500 03 Hemi, yesterday the diagnostic engine light came on. I hooked up my SC microtuner and it displayed the PO440 error code only. Do you know what this specific error code means? I am assuming that since I did not get all the other codes you did it may not be the evap solenoid. Thanks for your help...

Sorry to sound like an idiot however I really have no idea what you are talking about by TSB 18-13-03. Regardless, all I get is the error code PO440 displaying. Does anyone know what this is specifically??

Default RE: PO440 error code

A TSB is a technical service bulletin. Its info used by the dealer when a problen is know to exist. There is a flash/reprogram to take care of the problems related to those codes.
As far as P0440 goes...
The Powertrain Control Module does not see the NVLD(natural vacuum leak detector) swtich close during the medium/large leak test. The PCM then will increase the vacuum supply to the EVAP system by
increasing flow through the EVAP Purge valve. If the switch does not close with an increase in vacuum an error is detected.
Thats the technical mumbo jumbo. Check every vacuum hose to make sure they are not cracked or split. The NVLD or purge solenoid could be bad. I know you may not want to but you sholud take it to a dealer to have tests run to determine the faulty part.
Simply put, a leak in your evap system has been detected. It could be vacuum hoses, the leak detector could be bad, the purge solenoid could be bad. Hope I wasn't too confusing.......

Thanks for the response. I reset the code on my way to work and have now drove approx. 15-20 miles and it has yet to come back on. Hopefully it will stay off.
