Hi,
Hope someone can help out. 2004 Ram 3500 security light next to the speedometer cluster stays on continuously and drains the battery.I have charged the batteries,replaced alternator again,light and buzzing noise still there until I disconnect the batteries,sometimes right away or maybe an hour or two later.Is this an easy fix or major problem.

Sounds like a possible PCM issue.

 

This happened to me when my battery was crapping out, does your truck have a SKIM key/module (security)?

 

I do not believe it has the SKIM feature. No Dodge emblem on the key and it worked fine up until recently.I will check the batteries,about a year old when they were replaced along with the alternator.I also replaced the alternator again as it was not charging thinking that had something to do with it.It still is not properly charging as it jumps around on the gauge and meter when I test.
