New from MT
Hey guys,
New member from Montana, I have an 06 Ram 1500 TRX.
Its been a fun truck and I have already got a lot of help reading forums. I do have a few questions even though this probably isnt the best place to ask them.
Doing some work on the dash there are 3 or 4 extra wiring harnesses, does dodge wire vehicles for all the optional stuff even if you dont put it in? Any ideas what those could be? I can get a picture later if anyone is interested.
Second can you disconnect/bypass the brake fluid level sensor? I am assuming the only sensor is the one on the master cylinder? I keep getting the abs light that says fluid is low even though it is full. I did a full brake flush and the pads all look ok.
Thanks,

Welcome aboard.
Yes, there are extra harnesses on most of these trucks. One harness fits all. Easier and cheaper than having several different harnesses. Extra things such as 4x4, power sliding power window, heated seat, etc.
I think the only fluid level switch that I am aware of is the one in the master cylinder.
If the error doesn't reset with it unhooked, try installing a jumper wire in the connector and see it it goes away. If so, then the sensor is probably bad.
