I have a code of P1694 No message received from ECM mod. engine won't start and sounds like it is firing on 3 cyc and tries to start but won't. All cyc are good and no broken valve springs and was running fine with all new plugs. engine seems to be fine but don't know what to look at next

Welcome to the forum. Have you tried to unhook the battery for awhile to reset the PCM?
While unhooked, I would check all fuses in the power distribution box under the hood.
