Default Cruise control 2006 ram 1500 4.7Lt

I received some great replies to my last tread. I had to have a short in the circuit or power draw to blow the fuse. I installed a new fuse and the circuit turns on but shuts right off when I touch the set button. I changed the brake pedal switch/cruise control module/both switches on the steering wheel/reset ECM/made sure there is no vacuum leaks. If I had an ABS sensor bad I would think I would get a code or warning light but have not and the OBD does not show anything either. So my thinking is the clock spring may be the issue. Any ones thoughts on that?

Once the cruise control light turns off it will not come back on till I turn off the ignition first and then restart the truck. There was one other time it started to accelerate and not stop till I hit the power button. It did not blow the fuse then.

I didn't think I put it in the right context. Added this Question (So my thinking is the clock spring may be the issue. Any ones thoughts on that?)

You will not always get a code. Search for threads on here. There are several on this same subject.

Front wheel speed sensor. Mine did the same thing after the hub bearing assembly was changed under warranty and the new one was bad, they put the original sensor back in it and it has worked every since. No ABS light ever.

This thread is 10 years old and the OP is no longer around. It is better to start your own thread explaining your issue and including your vehicle information.
