Default Old 4.7 swapped with 08 and newer 4.7

I am planning on sapping my 02 4.7 out of my dodge ram 1500 it's a 5 speed was wondering if the newer 4.7motor would bolt up and how the dual plugs vs single plugs will work and other electrical

Dual plugs didn't come along till 2008 or so. What year 4.7 are you planning on swapping in?

You'll definitely run into NGC compatibility. The 2002 still had JTECH PCMs even. Electrical nightmare.

If it were mine, I wouldn't want a used 4.7L. Get a reman that is the right year model.

Just get a Hemi. You'll be more pleased with that and money & power ahead of the curve


I'd trust a junkyard Hemi before a used 4.7.
