these 2 threads have some good info.
Ok, I have research this "a lot" and there are some good info out there and seem to still have questions
my seat measures approx.
humps 4 1/2 to 5" wide & 18 1/2 long (2) molded
center seat portion 11 1/2 x 20 (1) to ea, side of Velcro
vinyl, towel, canvas or other type of material glued to bottom of foam
Any one know that has done this how long it takes.? Im thinking 2-3hrs no one had indicated how long.
My seat the hump by the door is already collapsing and the seat cover is in excellent condition, so Im planning to do this extremely soon when I can get a warm day, no garage.
can it be done with the seats in?
Weedahoe, you mentioned you did this
badhab1t you as well
Matt99 you also
would like to hear from you guys. any tips would definitely appreciate it.
HobbyLobby sells foam 1x14x14 = 2.99 obviously too small, can I take 2 of these and cut them where they are centered for the center seat for example.. take 2 pieces my seat is 11 1/2 x20 cut ea. piece approx. 10 in" to get the 20" length glue it to my center seat thus having a seam approx. in the middle of the seat unless I were to use piece of burlap as a seam mender glue it(lack of a better word) plus its less expensive to buy the 1x14x14
let me know is I have left something out!
Materials List:
Foam 1" x 11 1/2 x 20 (center) Top ( front seam-back seam) 5 - 1x14x14@ 2.99 x 4 = 14.95
Foam 1" x 20 x 20 (frame to frame) bottom (sit on frame)
Foam 1" x 4 1/2 x 18 1/2 (shoulders - 2) (humps) molded
Vinyl, burlap, towel, other glue on bottom of foam(bottom) burlap 2.99 yrd
burlap also would be used for repair patches (glued torn parts)
Glue adhesive 9.99
Razor/scissors

Thanks

You've put a lot of work/details/thought into this post, rather than just a simple, redundant, duplicate question -- so I'll leave it be and hopefully you'll get your answer. Next time please keep stuff like this in existing dedicated threads, especially if you are already involved in a current conversation within.
No harm/No foul. Just something to keep in mind if you come across the situation again. Good luck on your seat.
